NanoTherm Research Group

Open Positions

The NanoTherm Research Group welcomes highly motivated students interested in thermal science, interfacial transport, surface physics, and physics-informed AI. Current research directions include heat transfer, phase change, ice and frost physics, nanoscale transport, energy storage, and AI-guided modeling and design of thermal systems.

Graduate Research

Prospective PhD and MS students with strong backgrounds in mechanical engineering, heat transfer, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, materials science, applied mathematics, or machine learning are encouraged to contact the group.
  • Physics-informed AI for heat transfer and interfacial transport
  • Ice nucleation, frost growth, and ice-shedding surfaces
  • Nano-scale liquid-vapor transformation and thin-film evaporation
  • Energy storage and transport in confined molecular systems

How to Apply

Interested applicants should send a CV, transcripts, a brief statement of research interests, and representative publications or project work, if available, to hghasemi@uh.edu.
